It was the perfect combination of style and comfort - gorgeous and unique to look at, first rate food and wine, but relaxed and laid-back enough that we and our guests felt really 'at home', including the 17 children that you permitted to run over and around everything!
You provided such a sophisticated, yet family-friendly space - the perfect balance. Particular thanks to Hanna for being so professional and efficient in the run-up to the day, and for ruthlessly and creatively sourcing so many high chairs; thanks to Mark for the fabulous food and for apparently tolerating children's toys flying through the hatch into the kitchen; thanks to Charlie for surprising us with the sight of my angelic nieces carefully processing through the restaurant with our desserts; thanks for the pumpkins from an East Knoyle garden... we could go on, and it's these extra details and stories that I know we'll continue to hear about from our guests, that we will truly treasure.
We already have such a feeling of nostalgia walking past the hotel, and I know we'll be there, drinking the gorgeous cocktails and celebrating various events in the years to come.
